I am -
duality personified, soft as I am strong. Capable of
growing where the light dares not reach, and scared
senseless, but running toward the darkness of night,
anyway. Vulnerable, but you will not wield it as a
weapon against me because I am capable of rejoicing,
even while in grief, because I will let myself drown in
this body of water, of who I am, again and again and again,
as many times as I need to. I refuse to be rooted in place,
unmoved, unchanging, unfeeling.
Beauty is no quality in things themselves. It exists
merely in the mind which contemplates them, and
each mind perceives a different beauty.
Courage is not having the strength to go on.
Courage is going on when you do not have the strength.
I crave you in ways that can only be expressed
through hunger, touch and poetry.
